When you are pregnant the body produces much more of this hormone. At the time of first missed period, this test can detect the approximate range of your current hormone levels, with a minimum detection concentration of 25mIU/ml.

The test is sensitive to 20mIU of HCG and is capable of detecting pregnancy as early as 7-10 days after conception. We do however recommend that you wait until the first day after your missed period to get a reliable result.

However, we do recommend that if you are testing early, that you use the first urine of the day as this is when the HCG hormone is most concentrated.
